Cheap match for Benefit Benetint Lip Balm?

perfectpitchsopranobeautyaddict asked:

Hi! I just have one question? What is a good, pretty much exact match for the Benetint Lip Balm? I love the color, but i want to see if there’s a cheaper version or similar shade to it before I fork out the twenty or twenty plus dollars USD to pay for it. I don’t have a problem with spending that much for a great product, but like most everybody i like to comparison shop before I buy usually in order to get a great product at a cheap or cheaper price. That being said, I will NOT buy makeup or any other cosmetic item from Ebay or swap for them because it is potentially unsanitary, so bear that in mind when and if you answer my question. Thanks a million and Blessings to all!

Can you easily comparison shop for glasses?

Steelerguy asked:

Is it easy to go to any of the big chains or any of the smaller chains or independent opticians and get a firm price list for frames, lenses, coatings and the like? I haven’t gotten glasses in almost eight years and I get the feeling that most retailers are cagey about letting you know how much you’ll be paying for your glasses. I’d like to be able to get a firm price list, especially since the prices of all these things seem to vary.
I don’t have a prescription yet but do have an insurance plan which covers up to 50% of the cost of some of the elements of glasses. I’m just getting single-vision lenses with frames that are as cheap as possible. My problem is that I want to get two pair and I believe this plan only covers me for one pair. America’s Best isn’t covered in this plan and I don’t know if I would pay less just going to them and paying their regular price or if I should go to an independent place.

Tips on Price Comparison Shopping

Dr. Mark Clayson asked:

Price comparison shopping can save you a bunch of money. Not everyone has an unlimited budget when it comes to shopping, whether you are looking for clothing, items for your home, electronics or almost anything else you could want or need.

One of the most important components of shopping in this way is making sure you have the time it takes. While it can involve time that you may not be used to spending in this way it can definitely be worthwhile. If you are organized it may not take you much longer than going from store to store with no price comparison shopping plan in mind.

Start with a list of items you are looking for. Compare these prices online and watch for coupons, sale flyers and newspaper ads. It won’t be long before you have a fairly good idea of regular prices. You will also discover the stores and websites that offer the deepest discounts.

Price comparison shopping can be done at any outlet malls in your area. This is easy to do and it makes sense. Once you know the normal prices at the stores where you live and the online sites you frequent, you can take a few hours and hit the outlets. You may be surprised to find some excellent prices when you are able to do this on a fairly regular basis.

You should try and cut out your impulse buying habits if you have them. Impulse buying can be quite detrimental to your saving

Online Tires – How They Could Be Cheaper

Al Bullington asked:

Online tires bypass several of the problems inherent in tire purchasing. Buying tires from online stores allows you to save in several ways. Some of which may not be readily apparent. Here are some of the advantages of buying tires online that may benefit you and your pocket book.

Comparison Shopping Bonanza

Online shopping for tires lets you quickly look at far more tire choices than you could ever hope to see in a local outlet. The whole shopping comparison experience gets done at lightening fast time. Plus you can compare all kinds of test data and get all kinds of recommendations at the touch of a button.

Another plus to the internet tire information includes all the tire owner reviews available at your fingertips. All those reviews can help no matter where you buy the tires.

Minimum Hassle

Eliminate the hassle of driving around looking at tires. Avoid listening to sales people who are trying to sell what they have. Avoid the hassle of making a major purchase with too little information. Get all that behind you with the use of the online tire buying resources.

Cheaper For A Reason

No store locations means less overhead for the online dealers. It also means they don’t get all the related auto business that tire dealers usually enjoy. Online sellers don’t install mufflers, install shocks, do front-end alignment or all the other similar service work.

By just concentrating on tires, wheels and a few related items, the online dealers make money by selling at lower prices and in higher volume. The truth is the online dealers really don’t directly compete with your local tire store. Here’s why…

The Tire Installation Trick

See, tires bought from an online source still must be installed. Guess who the installer is? Why it’s a local tire store.

All the online tire sellers have relationships with local dealers. Will that cause a problem for you? Not likely…

The local installer not only gets paid for installing tires you buy somewhere else, which is a good deal for them. They just got another customer in the door and that opens all kinds of opportunities for the local dealer. If they treat you right, they open up chances to do your service work. Why you may even buy the next set of tires from them.

See, the local installers win even if you buy tires from an online source.

Local Online Too

What’s more, many local dealers now have websites too. That way you can shop all over the Internet and then come right back to a your local dealer site armed with all kinds of information about price, models, quality and whatever information you need. Then just order the tires you want online and arrange for installation when the tires arrive at your local dealer.

Shopping online for tires means more than just skipping local dealers. The information available online makes it far easier to comparison shop and get the best tire for the least money. This also benefits your local dealer as well as the online sellers. It’s a win for everybody.
